St. Mary's Colgan boys golf qualified its team for the upcoming Class 2A state tournament, finishing second with a four-man team score of 359 during Monday's 2A sub-state tournament at Crestwood Country Club.
Hutchinson Trinity Academy won the regional title at 334 and Sterling rounded out the team qualifiers in third at 387.
Humboldt's Connor Newman won medalist honors at 1-over-par 73 and posted the best score of the five individual qualifiers.
Max Imhof led Colgan in fourth place at 82 and Jack Krusich also placed fifth at 85. Jamie Hamilton tied for 10th at 88, Gabe Stockard tied for 21st at 104 and Jax Renn tied for 36th at 118.
The Panthers begin state tournament play next Tuesday at the Quail Ridge Golf Course in Winfield.
