ARCADIA, Kan. — Autumn Leaves monthly luncheon was held in Arcadia KS, on Tuesday, May 12th, 2026, with 19 people enjoying the meal. Prior to serving a group photo was taken of all the members in attendance. May’s get together was a Taco Tuesday, where we served up ground beef tacos with soft and hard shells, and all the toppings, Spanish rice, a delicious enchilada casserole, guacamole, queso and chips, salad and other side dishes, and desserts. Thank you to those who helped in the kitchen with preparation and set up, brought all the taco toppings, side dishes and desserts. We really appreciate the group effort with set up/clean up after our gatherings.
After the meal a brief meeting was held, opened by Judy, President. Secretary/Treasury statement was given with reminders of the upcoming Shead Festival and Arcadia High School Alumni Banquet. There was no old business to discuss. Tammy asks that when an event is planned that we nail down the details of who will have responsibility for which actions in the execution of the event. Sharon reminds the group of a request for a donation to The Chosen. Brief discussion was made regarding finances and the groups status as non-profit. These discussions are tabled until June meeting and Tammy will bring more information and details.
Next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, June 9th, 2026. BBQ ribs motioned by Susie, seconded by Barb and unanimously agreed upon by the group are on the menu, to give the men a chance to cook for Father’s Day, with David (who was not in attendance) being voluntold to perform the grilling.
