PITTSBURG, Kan. — Last week, the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office and Pittsburg Fire Department experienced a small decrease in calls for service.
From May 10 to 16, Crawford County Sheriff’s Office responded to 223 calls for service, an 18 percent decrease from the previous week. Deputies also conducted 51 traffic stops, arrested nine individuals, assisted 28 motorists and community members and took 27 reports.
From May 11 to 17, the Pittsburg Fire Department responded to 32 calls for service, an 11 percent decrease from the previous week. Of the 32 calls, 12 were fire-related, 19 were medical-related and one was a motor vehicle accident.
From May 11 to 17, the Pittsburg Police Department responded to 413 calls for service, conducted 94 traffic stops, engaged in 198 officer self-initiated activities, arrested 16 individuals and took 81 reports.
