FRONTENAC, Kan. — The John F. Derby American Legion Post 43 is proud to announce its 2nd Annual Flag Day Golf Tournament, scheduled for Saturday, June 13, 2026. Area golfers, businesses, and community members are invited to participate and help raise funds for vital community programs.

All proceeds from the tournament directly fund Post 43’s core mission of supporting local Veterans. Additionally, the event raises money to sponsor local youth attendance at Boys State of Kansas, Sunflower Girls State, and Cadet Law Enforcement Academy, provide educational scholarships, and fund area youth athletics.

"This tournament is a fantastic way for the community to enjoy a day on the course while directly impacting on the lives of our local veterans and the next generation of leaders," said Niel Smith the Post 43 Finance Officer.

Local businesses and individuals can support the event through three distinct sponsorship levels, each offering promotional visibility:

• Title Sponsor ($500): Includes registration for one team of four players, a banner at the tournament entrance, four complimentary hole sponsorships, and prominent logo and name placement on all advertisements, social media, and promotions.
• Prize Sponsor ($300): Includes a promotional banner displayed at the club house, one complimentary hole sponsorship, and logo and name placement on advertisements and social media.
• Hole Sponsor ($100): Includes one dedicated hole sponsorship with logo and name signage on the course, alongside advertising and social media recognition.

The American Legion is also actively accepting donated items for a raffle to be held on the day of the tournament.
