ROBERT “BUTCH” PRIDEAUX
Robert “Butch” Prideaux, 79, of Arma, Kansas, died at 12:15 p.m. Friday, May 15, 2026, at his home.
Mr. Prideaux was born June 29, 1946, at Pittsburg, Kansas, the son of Robert Louis and Frances Burns Prideaux. Butch was a retired painter who lived in Arma most of his life. He was raised in Arma and graduated from Arma High School. He later attended Pittsburg State University. He was a veteran of the Vietnam Era serving in the United States Air Force. He was a member of the Lon Helm Post #182 American Legion in Arma. Survivors include a sister, Kay Holladay of Springfield, Missouri, a brother, Jerry Prideaux of Overland Park, Kansas, and numerous family members. He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant brother, Robert Prideaux, and four sisters, Beverly Prideaux, Janice Merritt, Cheryl Frances Straloin, and Patsy Lutrell.
Mr. Prideaux has been cremated according to his wishes. A celebration of life will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at the Bedene Funeral Home, 517 E. Washington, Box 621, Arma, Kansas 66712. Burial of the cremains will be at the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Pittsburg, Kansas.
