Tyler Lee Edwards

Tyler Lee Edwards, 35, passed away Sunday, May 31, 2026, comfortably in his home surrounded by loved ones. Tyler leaves behind a legacy of dedication to family and friends, a love of adventure, and an overwhelming knack for shenanigans.

He was born on July 9, 1990, to Cathy McDonald Davied. He attended schools in Girard, KS and continued his education at Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, KS, where he earned bachelor’s degrees in international business and Spanish.

In 2016, Tyler married Cheyanne Reynolds, and together they built a beautiful family with their children Lylah Kathrann Edwards and Stone Gary Kenneth Edwards. Tyler’s proudest and most cherished role was being a husband to Cheyanne and a daddy to Lylah and Stone. Tyler had the biggest personality and left a lasting impression on anyone who had the pleasure of crossing his path. He had a deep love for his family and friends and cherished the time he spent with them. Tyler enjoyed traveling the world until his family became that world and all the adventure he could ever want. Tyler had a laugh that was boisterous and contagious, a sound that will live forever in the hearts of many.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Cheyanne and children, Lylah and Stone, of the home; his mother Cathy McDonald Davied (Tim), his brother Tanner (Lauren) and namesake, Ripken Jacob Tyler Edwards, step-brothers Aaron Davied (Laura) and Adam Davied, step-sisters Aleigha Davied and Amanda Davied, mother-in-law, Jenny Scheppers Reynolds, father-in-law, Rusty Reynolds, grandmother Betty McDonald, as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and nieces and nephews. Tyler was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Mary McDonald and his maternal grandfather, Gary McDonald, his maternal great-grandparents, Minnie Bugni, Harry McDonald and Nadine McDonald.

Tyler will be remembered for his big personality, his contagious laugh and dance moves, his ability to bring fun and joy to every situation, but mostly his devotion to family and friends, and the lasting impact he made on those who knew and loved him.

Memorial Service will be held at Carson Wall Funeral Home in Girard, KS on Friday, June 5, 2026, at 6 p.m. with visitation to follow. Friends may call after 2 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.
