Seven Pittsburg State players have been named to the all-MIAA softball team, the league office announced Tuesday afternoon.

Shortstop Heather Arnett, catcher Lexi Davis and third baseman Kadyn Trochim are on the first team, determined by a vote of the league's head coaches.

Pitcher Emma Crabb, outfielder Alleyna Rushing and utility player Sailor Hall are on the second team, and outfielder Haili Igou received honorable mention.

Arnett, a senior who prepped at Frontenac, is on the first team for the third consecutive year. She leads NCAA Division II in runs (77) and hits (105) and is second in batting average (.533). She also has 38 stolen bases.

During this season, she became the MIAA career leader in hits, runs and stolen bases.

Davis, a senior, is batting .396 and leads the Gorillas with 13 home runs and 75 runs batted in, ranking third in D2 in RBI while setting a school record.

Trochim, a graduate student, is fourth in D2 with 73 runs batted in. She is batting .455 and leads PSU in doubles (18), walks (37) and sacrifice flies (8). She was second team all-MIAA last season.

Crabb, a junior, is 15-3 this season with a 2.12 earned run average and 99 strikeouts in 115 2/3 innings. She pitched the second perfect game in school history on April 25 against Newman.

Rushing, a senior who was honorable mention all-MIAA a year ago, is batting .438 with 53 runs, 23 RBI and 16 stolen bases. She has two assists from center field.

Hall, a senior, truly filled the utility role. She is batting .359 with 11 home runs, 42 RBI and 47 runs, and in the circle, she is 8-1 with a 2.49 ERA and 44 strikeouts in 45 innings.

Igou, a junior, is hitting .320 with 15 doubles, seven homers and 41 RBI. She has drawn 37 walks.

Central Oklahoma senior outfielder Rylee Lemos is the conference player of the year, and she won defensive player of the year for the second consecutive season.

Missouri Southern’s Kiki Pickens is the pitcher of the year for the second straight year. Her teammate and fellow pitcher Emily Davis is the freshman of the year, and Lions coach Hallie Blackney and her assistants are the coaching staff of the year.
