Dusty Allen Harryman, 50, of Pittsburg died Tuesday June 9, 2026.
Dusty was born Oct. 5, 1975, in Girard, Kansas, the son of Kathy McCabe and Bernard Smith.
He grew up attending Arma schools where he was a 1994 graduate from Northeast High School.
He later continued his education at Pittsburg State University with a bachelor's in psychology and completed a master's degree in drug and alcohol addiction counseling at Washburn University.
Dusty loved to fish, hunt, and be outdoors. He had a talent for building beautiful pieces out of wood. Dusty had a passion for helping others through drug and alcohol addiction counseling.
He was a very kind man and loving father who cared for others and will be deeply missed.
Survivors include a son, Conner Harryman, a mother Kathy McCabe, a father Bernard Smith, brothers Nikolas Nelson & Kris (Ashley) Nelson, two nephews Bob and Maddox Nelson, and many close family members and friends.
Dusty was preceded in death by his grandmother Reva Heitman and his uncle's Kenny and Rick Harryman.
Mr. Harryman has been cremated.
A memorial service will take place on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. with Father Bob McElwee officiating at the Bedene Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Connor Harryman for future education.
