David Wayne Simpson, 70, of Frontenac, formerly of Arma, Kansas died at 6:38 P.M. Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at Medicalodge Frontenac, Kansas.

Mr. Simpson was born May 16, 1956, at Ft. Scott, Kansas the son of Wayne and Mildred Willis. David was a lifelong Crawford County resident. He was raised in rural Arcadia and attended, Girard, Arma Schools and later graduated from Girard High School in the Class of 1975. Survivors include aunts, Carol Smith of Frontenac, Esther Simpson of Ft. Scott, and Estalee Simpson and numerous cousins Casey Pillion, Bruce and Brent Pulliam, Janet Keefer, Larry Simpson, Carol Carter, Roger Simpson, Susan Yoakum, Lisa Call, Sam Yoakum, Katie Yoakum, Kyle Williams, and Shelby Boyle. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Mildred Simpson and his sister, Debra “Debbie” Simpson.

Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday, July 27, 2026, at the Bedene Funeral Home at Arma, Kansas with Pastor Randy Woods officiating. Friends may call 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at the Bedene Funeral Home to sign the registar book. Arrangements are under the direction of the Bedene Funeral Home, 517 E.
