Cooper Leonard started the scoring with a two-run single and Tanner Akins busted the dam wide open with his bases-clearing double. Brooks Walker’s RBI single came between Leonard and Akins’ big hits, and Akins scored on a sacrifice fly.

The Silverbacks came back and closed out the scoring with five in the third. Akins added an RBI single, Drake Boulware, Colton Widmer and Keaton Peak each worked bases-loaded walks and Gage King drove in a run with an RBI groundout.

Lexton Holloway earned the win and he allowed no runs on no hits with two strikeouts and no walks over three innings.

POST 64 0,

ARKANSAS ACES FITTS 0

Post 64’s Cooper Leonard and Arkansas Aces Fitts’ Kory Richardson dueled zeroes during their brief matchup on the mound Saturday. The teams managed to play only two innings before the rains came and washed out the day.

Leonard allowed no runs on no hits and had three strikeouts and two walks over two innings. Richardson gave up the only hit and pitched two scoreless innings with two strikeouts and no walks.

Leonard collected the game’s only hit.

WICHITA RAMPAGE 7,
