Logan Myers, a 2023 graduate of Frontenac High School, has been named to the American Baseball Coaches Association/Rawlings Gold Glove team for NCAA Division II.
Myers started every game at second base for Emporia State and did not commit an error in 272 chances, having 119 putouts and 153 assists. He also was a part of 36 of the Hornets’ 43 double plays. He also made the MIAA Gold Glove team.
Myers finished in the top-5 in the conference in four offensive categories. He was fourth in batting average (.408), runs (70) and doubles (21) and fifth in hits (80).
He also had a triple, five home runs, 39 runs batted in and six stolen bases.
Myers was named first team All-American by the ABCA and D2 Conference Commissioners Association.
The Hornets finished 37-16, their most victories since 2017.
Missouri Southern center fielder Brayden Luikart also made ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove team.
A senior from St. Joseph, Mo., Luikart started all 53 games for the Lions and handled 139 putouts and three assists without an error.
He batted .377 with 23 doubles, 11 homers and 46 RBI.
