Charles “Chuck” Delp

Charles “Chuck” Walter Delp, 74, of Arma, passed away on Dec. 17, 2025. 

He was born on July 31, 1951 in Hutchinson, Kansas. Chuck then met his former wife while living in Connecticut and they moved to Galena, Missouri to raise their two young children. Chuck was a family man and loved being a part of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren lives. He enjoyed teaching others about woodworking, fishing, hunting, and the importance of having a sense of humor. During his life, Chuck hand built multiple houses and felt living off the land was of great importance. He was passionate about working with his hands and always found importance in repurposing items. He instilled these values in his children and grandchildren. He attended Pittsburg State University and studied Technology Education which led him into teaching woodworking at Bronaugh High School. He later had a career of being the executive director of the Pittsburg Recycling Center. 

Chuck is survived by his sister Libby Ralston of Charleston, SC, his son Andrew Delp, of New Mexico, daughter-in-law Amy Tromsness, grandsons Jameon Delp, of Pittsburg, and Jack Clayton, of Kansas City, granddaughters Anna Enciso, of Pittsburg, Rosa Evans-Lombe, of Wichita, Piper Tromsness, of Pittsburg and Nova Coman, of Pittsburg. He is also survived by his great-grandson Emil Enciso, of Pittsburg. He is preceded in death by his son Walt Delp, Pittsburg, KS. 

In lieu of flowers please send donations to either the Boy Scouts of America or Habitat for Humanity. A celebration of life will be held at The Frisco Center, 210 E. 4th Street in Pittsburg, KS from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, March 14.
