The Girard girls won the team title and the boys finished second Tuesday night during the Northeast Invitational in Arma.
The girls scored 79 points to best the host Vikings by three points and Baxter Springs finished third with 67.
Central Heights won the title on the boys side with 104 points and Girard and Baxter Springs followed with 97 and 89.5.
COLGAN
Reese Tyler won the girls triple jump with a mark of 28 feet, 5 1/2 inches and finished third in the long jump (13-7 1/4). Alexis Simone finished second in the 1,600 (6:47) and Natalie Heter fifth in the 400 (1:15).
On the boys side, Thomas Paulie had the best finish with a seventh in the triple jump (30-9).
GIRARD
On the girls side, Marli Sisney won the high jump with a clearance of 4-10. The 4x400 and 4x800 relays both finished second, the 4x400 in 4:54 and the 4x800 in 12:11.
Addison Bowman finished second in the 100-meter hurdles (17.47) and fourth in the 300 hurdles (54.88). Karilee Kimrey took second in the 300 hurdles (51.58). Bailey Barker placed fourth in the 1,600 (7:01), Skyler Kramer fifth in the 800 (2:49) and Bailey Walker sixth in the 200 (30.19).
Walker also finished third in the pole vault (7-6) and fifth in the long jump (13-2). August Mooneyham and Haydin Gatewood were second and fourth in the pole vault with Mooneyham clearing 8-0 and Gatewood 7-6.
Reece Clevenger was sixth in the discus (85-3) and the javelin (71-7). Hemi Oney placed fourth in the shot put (32-3).
On the boys side, Elijah Walsh finished second in the 100 (11.55) and the 200 (23.61). Izaiah Adolph placed fourth in the 400 (57.26), Noah Gillard and Jackson Kimrey third and sixth in the 800 with Gillard 2:12 and Kimrey 2:23 and Chase Eitel finished sixth in the 1,600 (5:47). Andrew Trindal finished third in both hurdles (18.06, 49.12).
The 4x100 and 4x800 both finished third (47.47, 10:31) and the 4x400 placed fourth in 3:57.
Boston Mlekus led the field athletes with a first place in the shot put (43-5) and Brayden Reese finished second in the discus (123-9) and the shot (40-0). Jackson Kimrey, Kelyn Page and Christopher Robison were third, fourth and fifth in the pole vault with Kimrey and Page at 11-0 and Robison 9-6.
Junior Love placed fourth in the triple (34-2 1/2) and sixth in the long (16-5 1/4) jumps.
NORTHEAST
Viking senior Brooklyn Jackson definitely showed out during her final home track and field meet.
She broke two meet records and set a school record with her winning throws of 39-1/2 in the shot put and 128-0 in the discus. Her 128-0 throw in the discus became the highest standard for the Vikings.
Hailey Smardo finished third in the shot (32-10). Maddison Villarreal finished second in the high jump (4-8) and fourth in the long (13-2 1/2) and triple (27-1) jumps.
The 4x100 and 4x400 were fourth in 59.32 and 5:18. Kylee Dickerson was fifth in the 100 hurdles (18.41). Allie Wade, Jade Bush and Allison McCarley ran second, third and fifth in the 3,200 with Wade 15:08, Bush 15:59 and McCarley 16:32. Wade finished third (6:49) and Bush fifth (7:05) in the 1,600.
On the boys side, junior Tayven Willard swept titles in the long (21-9 3/4) and triple (42-2 1/2) jumps. Tegan Mitchell finished third in both events with an 18-4 in the long and a 35-2 1/2 in the triple. Conner Hill was fifth in the triple at 33-2 1/2.
Jaxson Payne finished third in the 3,200 (12.05), fourth in the 1,600 (5:26) and fourth in the high jump (5-8).
Bruce DeBusk was also third in the javelin with a throw of 122-9.
