Vehicle strikes woman on E-bike

PITTSBURG, Kan. — A woman riding an e-bike was struck by a truck Thursday afternoon, according to the Pittsburg Police Department.

The police department reported that at approximately 12:52 p.m., Sept. 17, police, fire and EMS responded to call at the intersection of Broadway and Williams Street. According to the report, a 2017 Ford F250 was stopped at a stop sign on Williams Street. As the truck proceeded forward, attempting to turn onto Broadway, the truck struck a woman riding an E-bike southbound on Broadway Street.

The woman, 57-year-old Tina Barbe of Pittsburg was transported to Mercy Hospital Pittsburg for treatment. The driver of the truck, 19-year-old Brody Trento of Joplin, was not injured.
