On September 20, 2026, Justin Aaron Edwards, a/k/a Sunshine, of Girard, Kansas, passed away peacefully in his home, surrounded by his family. Justin was born on July 5, 1986, to Donna Edwards and Dennis Hewett in Pittsburg, Kansas.

Growing up, Justin was a great kid and quickly earned the name Sunshine. People thought it had to do with his blonde hair, but it was because he was always smiling, no matter what!

Justin loved to go camping with his family and always wanted to be hunting, fishing or boating of some kind. The size of the game never really mattered as long as he was having fun! Throughout Justin's life he worked as a plumber for different companies around the Pittsburg area.

In 2011 Justin met the love of his life, Robin Weber. In 2021, Justin started his own plumbing company, finally working for himself.

Justin was a member of the Sons of the American Legion in Girard and volunteered for many organizations around the Pittsburg, Frontenac, and Girard area.

Justin's most favorite thing to do was canoeing down the river with his family or just shooting some pool.

Justin leaves behind his love, Robin Weber, his two children, Ava Jade Edwards and Carter Aaron Edwards, two brothers, Ryan Edwards and wife Sarah, and Christopher Edwards and wife Corina, one sister, Briana Freidline and husband Brad, his father Dennis Hewett, six nephews, four nieces, and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Preceding him in death was his mother, Donna Edwards and all his grandparents.

Justin will be truly missed by all that loved him.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Girard American Legion in Girard, Kansas, on Saturday, October 24, 2026 at Noon.
