Tokyo stocks rebounded Wednesday morning as investors scooped up battered issues after plunges a day earlier due to political uncertainty spurred by the recent breakup of Japan's longtime ruling coalition. The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average rose 615.99 points, or 1.31 percent, from Tuesday to 47,463.31. The broader Topix index was up 40.71 points, or 1.30 percent, at 3,174.70.
