An electric scooter service provider in Japan will make it mandatory for users to allow police to share information on traffic violations with the company as part of efforts to reduce accidents. Under the new policy starting Friday, people will not be able to use Luup Inc. e-scooters unless they agree to grant access in advance. The company is currently allowed to receive information from the police only if accidents are serious or the violators agree.
