The ratio of job openings to job seekers for auto mechanics and technicians in Japan eclipsed 5.00 in fiscal 2024, far greater than the overall 1.14, as the country's birthrate continues to fall. The ratio rose by 0.10 point to 5.09 compared to the previous year, recent government data showed. It means there were 509 job openings for every 100 job seekers.
