Wichita West scored 16 of the game's first 21 points and led Pittsburg by double-digits for most of the rest of the game during a 80-68 victory Thursday night for the Pioneers in the last game of the first day of the Bill Hanson Memorial. The teams combined for 148 points and 21 3-point goals split between 11 for the Purple Dragons and 10 for the Pioneers. It only seems fitting that Wichita West's Edmond Gulley banked in a 3 at the buzzer for the final score.
