Girard girls basketball outscored Baxter Springs 29-6 in the third quarter on the way to a 65-25 win Tuesday night in CNC League play at Ted R. Taylor Gymnasium. Maddie Coester led Girard with 17 points and the junior backcourt tandem of Kennedy Keller and Karsyn O’Rand added 23 more points with 12 from Keller and 11 from O’Rand. The Trojans improved to 5-1 on the season and 2-0 CNC.
