Dragons get in first practice at Hutchinson Field

Due to anticipated extreme heat for the entire first week of practice, Pittsburg football decided last week to hold its first five practices during the evening at historic Hutchinson Field. The Purple Dragons took their first steps Monday night toward a Sept. 4 season opener at Coffeyville. Extreme heat took a day off, but returned Tuesday with a triple-digit vengeance.
