Kansas’s wildlife heritage is at risk, as threats such as habitat loss, invasive species, and severe weather are taking their toll. In fact, the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks has found that 285 species are in urgent need of conservation action. The good news is that a bold, bipartisan bill that will go a long way to addressing the wildlife crisis has already passed the House and is about to get a vote in the Senate.
