Mary Ann Holloway, 78 of Girard, passed away at 1:56 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 9, 2026, at Mercy Hospital in Pittsburg, Kansas.

She was born Jan. 15, 1948, in Girard, a daughter of James and Mary (Kerns) Fearmonti.

Mary Ann attended school in Girard, graduating from the Girard High School.

On Dec. 16, 1967, Mary and Gary Holloway were united in marriage in the United Methodist Church in Girard and Gary survives of the home.

She was employed as a teller and bookkeeper at the First National Bank and the Girard National Bank, both of Girard and she was head of human resources for the Hospital District # 1 in Girard for over 30 years.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Girard and Mary Ann enjoyed her church, volunteering, and reading.

Survivors in addition to her husband, Gary, of the home, are her sons, Scott Holloway, and his

Wife, Carmella, of Rose Hill, Kansas and Douglas Holloway, and his wife, Tammy, of Emporia, Kansas, four grandchildren, her sister, Ethelyn Roberts, and her husband, Eddie, of Claremore, Oklahoma.

Mary Ann was preceded in death by a sister, Jo Ann Childers.
