Donald Roy Rati passed away in his sleep on July 30 in Monroe, NC. He was born in Pittsburg, Kansas on Sept. 19, 1941, to Dorothy Rati McWilliams and Steve Rati. Don was partially raised by Grandparents Roy and Willahemia Rodebush of Lamar, MO.

Don graduated from College High School in 1959. Attended Emporia State, Independence Jr. College, and Pittsburg State College.

He worked 10 years for Missouri Pacific Kansas City Mo, Alaskan Railroad in Anchorage Alaska, Union Pacific, in North Platte Nebraska, and Kansas City, Kansas. He had rental property for 25 years in Pittsburg, Kansas. Retired at the age of 54 years old.

He got married on March 23, 1972, to Mae Irene Snow in Girard, Kansas. Mae preceded him in death in Feb. 2024. He was also proceeded in death by Mother, Dad, and Grandparents and stepfather Marvin McWilliams.

Survived by son Roy Eugene Rati (Dana) and two Grandsons, Eric and Zachary of Stallings, NC. Brother Robert Rati (Margaret) of Carmel Indiana.

He enjoyed traveling, sports, history, and live shows. He has been in all 50 states. Lived two years in North Platte, Nebraska, three years in Kansas City, Kansas. Lived in Pittsburg for 22 years, seven years in Bullhead City, Arizona, back to Pittsburg for 5 years, then ended his journey in Charlotte, North Carolina.
