PITTSBURG, Kan. — The Career and Technical Education Center (CTEC) of Crawford County announced on Monday a new partnership with the Wichita State University Campus of Applied Sciences and Technology (WSU Tech), Kansas' largest technical college, to enrich and broaden career training opportunities for high school and adult students in southeast Kansas. According to a release, the partnership came about as CTEC, which serves more than 1,000 students as a non-profit training center, worked through its formal accreditation process, identifying the need of a post-secondary partner who could potentially “meet immediate operational and instructional needs.” “This partnership is about building a stronger Southeast Kansas by preparing students for great careers and striving to meet workforce demand,” said Dan Boley, executive director of CTEC, in a release. “WSU Tech shares our values and brings the quality, innovation, and industry connections that will allow us to take this work to the next level.
