PITTSBURG, Kan. — As the final Neighborhood Advisory Council (NAC) meeting of the year opened on Wednesday, NAC President Lacy O’Malley offered this definition of community — “a group of people you know by their first names.” That, in a nutshell, is the mission of the Neighborhood Advisory Council. The meat of Wednesday’s meeting was an After Action Report on November’s Fall Spruce Up event. While, overall, the event was a resounding success, NAC members dissected the day to better improve similar events moving forward.
