FRONTENAC, Kan. — A Fort Scott man suffered injuries following a two-vehicle collision Saturday afternoon in Crawford County.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at approximately 3:18 p.m. Saturday along Hwy. 69 two miles north of Frontenac.

The report stated that a 2019 GMC Sierra was southbound on Hwy. 69 slowing down for traffic that was stopped entering the Million Dollar Fireworks Show at Camptown on the west side of the highway. A 1993 Harley Davidson Sportster 883 was southbound on Hwy. 69 and struck the rear of the Sierra.

The driver of the Harley Davidson, 33-year-old Jared S. Bahr of Fort Scott, suffered minor injuries in the collision and was taken to Mercy Hospital Pittsburg for treatment. The driver of the Sierra, 48-year-old Branon L. Shipman of Carterville, Missouri, and the occupant, 23-year-old Tanner Lee Shipman of Mankato, Kansas, did not sustain any injuries in the crash.

Both the drivers and the occupant wore their safety restraint at the time of the crash, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.
