GIRARD, Kan. — The city of Girard along with Midwest Engineering Group as well as Shoemaker & Sons Construction LLC. are pushing forward with the extensive waterline project, a $10 million endeavor funded by the United States Department of Agriculture(USDA) that replaces around 50 percent of the city’s aging pipes.
