PITTSBURG, Kan. — Special Olympics Kansas (SOKS) athletes from the Southeast Region took to the gridiron Friday morning, teaming up with Pittsburg State University football players for an enjoyable day of football and camaraderie. Known as “Victory Day,” the annual event is a partnership between Pittsburg State University’s football team and Special Olympics Kansas, offering athletes the chance to showcase their skills while getting to know their partners. A full day of excitement and fellowship, laughs and cheers could be heard throughout the Robert W. Plaster Center, in an event that is centered around inclusion, a main priority for the non-profit organization.
