CHICOPEE, Kan. — For the past few years, Vetlinks, a local organization that helps veterans navigate the government bureaucracy to secure benefits, has hosted KavFest, an annual golf tournament at Crestwood Country Club held in honor of Vetlinks founder Major Brian Kavanagh. It is the organization’s biggest fundraiser of the year and draws quite a crowd. But this year is special.
