PITTSBURG, Kan. — The Pittsburg City Commission passed two new ordinances Tuesday night, both regarding the homeless population in the area. The first, G-1366, Section 54-77 prohibits the removal and possession of shopping carts removed from local businesses without written approval. It is a common sight in Pittsburg to see homeless persons pack their possessions onto shopping carts, often abandoning them in neighborhoods.
