PITTSBURG, Kan. — Beth Toland, Education and Human Services Director at Allen County Community College in Iola — and the wife of Kansas Lieutenant Governor David Toland — toured the Grow at Eden childcare at Washington School during the lunch hour on Wednesday with a mixed group of Pittsburg Area Young Professionals and members of the HR Professionals Roundtable. After the tour, Toland talked to the group about the importance of promoting high-quality childcare and how it can impact a business’s bottom line. Toland, a Pittsburg native, said that for every dollar invested by a business in childcare, it receives $13 back in return.
