PITTSBURG, Kan. — The back-to-school season can be a stressful time for families that are struggling to make ends meet, as some are forced to choose between putting food on the table or making sure their kids have the tools needed for educational success. The Salvation Army is working with Walmart to collect school supplies for local children in need during the annual Stuff the Bus event from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 6. During this time, volunteers will be at the Pittsburg Walmart Supercenter located at 2710 N. Broadway and the Walmart Neighborhood Market at 1011 E. Centennial Dr., Pittsburg.
