GIRARD, Kan. — Melissia Rhodes, an advocate for solar energy coming to Crawford County, briefed the county commissioners on Friday about the distribution of possible tax revenue collected from Shasta Power. According to John Copyak of Shasta Power, the county would receive an estimated $4 million in tax revenue from a new solar array to be built southeast of Arma. County Treasurer Joe Grislano said that Copyak’s math is correct, given the current valuation of the land and mill levy, coming within just a few dollars of his own calculations.
