PITTSBURG, Kan. — A woman whose life was personally touched by violence will lead a self-defense class for women in Pittsburg. Cindy Coughenour of “Fearless and Female” is scheduled to hold the class from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 18, at 514 N. Joplin St. in Pittsburg. The subject of violence against women hits close to home for Coughenour, because one of her dearest friends was murdered in 1977.
