PITTSBURG, Kan. — For the first time in history, the remains of St. Bernadette were traveling across the nation this week and made their stop in Pittsburg to be revered and displayed at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. To celebrate the relics of St. Bernadette, special ceremonies were held at the church Monday, July 4 through Wednesday, July 6. Relics are “parts or belongings of a holy person kept for the faithful to venerate,” according to Our Lady of Lourdes.
