GIRARD, Kan. — A sea of automobiles filled the parking lot of St. Michael's Catholic Church and families flocked to R.V. Haderlein Elementary School for this year's "Back to School Bash" as the enthusiasm could be heard all the way from West Walnut St. in Girard, Thursday evening. Held during the first few weeks of school, the annual event gives kids the chance to enjoy a free event complete with food, fun, and friendship.
