PITTSBURG, Kan. — The Pittsburg State University Department of Music, in collaboration with PSU Theatre and Special Collections and University Archives, paid tribute to southeast Kansas native Dr. Eva Jessye on Wednesday night at the Bicknell Family Center for the Arts. Singers performed selections from Paradise Lost and Regained (1935) and Chronicles of Job (1963). Other selections included music from Jessye’s 1927 collection, My Spirituals.
