PITTSBURG, Kan. — Saying he felt like a proud father, USD 250 Superintendent Rich Proffitt unveiled the completed renovations to the Pittsburg Community Middle School on Friday. The building was officially opened with a ribbon cutting in the newly rebuilt auditorium by eighth graders Lauryn Keller and Leah Niederklein. Keller said the new renovations were “really cool” and she couldn’t wait to start attending classes in the new space.
