Police ID body found Wednesday

PITTSBURG, Kan. — On Thursday afternoon, detectives with the Pittsburg Police Department confirmed the identity of a body discovered downtown early Wednesday. According to a news release from the department, the man whose body was found was 27-year-old Tokumatsu K. Platt, of Pittsburg. Platt’s body was found by police officers and first responders who were responding to a report of an unresponsive man inside the locked fence surrounding a cell tower at 107 E. 1st Street.
