CHEROKEE COUNTY, Kan. — One man and three juveniles were injured in a single-vehicle accident just south of Pittsburg Monday evening, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol (KHP). At approximately 7:42 p.m., the KHP responded to an accident at 1298 S. 220th Street, also referenced as S. 220th Street at the K-171 Junction. According to the KHP, a 2015 Ford Mustang was southbound on S. 220th Street when the driver failed to negotiate the curve, striking a culvert that resulted in an overturn.
