NEWTON COUNTY, Mo. — A motorcycle rider was injured Friday afternoon in a single-vehicle crash on Joplin’s south side, authorities said. According to the Missouri Highway Patrol (MHP), the crash occurred at approximately 2:25 p.m. on Friday on Interstate 49, five miles south of Joplin in Newton County, Missouri.
