PITTSBURG, Kan. — To spice up the weekend, Pittsburg High School Theatre will be presenting a student-directed, one-act performance called “Dave” written by Pittsburg playwright Michael Fienen. Last year, when Fienen assisted the Pittsburg Community Theatre by filling in for a last-minute role in “The Book of Will,” he met several PHS students who were helping backstage. Fienen said when the students learned he had written a few one-act plays in the past, they got excited, so he brought copies of his script “Dave,” his latest creation, to the next rehearsal for them to read.
