PITTSBURG, Kan. — In the music industry over the past seven years, it has become a tradition to release new digital music at 12 a.m. on Fridays because Billboard tracks sales Fridays through Thursdays, and this gives musicians a full week to be counted. Local band Kota Lewis and the Flyers will be participating in that tradition this Friday to release three of their songs on a wide range of music streaming platforms. Band founder, lead guitarist, singer and songwriter Kota Lewis started playing acoustic shows in 2019, and decided to form a band in 2021 in Pittsburg.
