PITTSBURG, Kan. — As Mercy Hospital Pittsburg celebrated its one-year anniversary Thursday evening, the phrase, "It is hard to believe it has been one year" reverberated around the hospital's lobby. On Sept. 11, 2024, Mercy hosted an official ribbon cutting along with a blessing of Mercy Hospital Pittsburg, following the transition from Ascension Via Christi to Mercy Pittsburg. One year later, community members, Mercy employees, Pittsburg business leaders, and Pittsburg State University faculty celebrated the achievement which included a short reception.
