GIRARD, Kan. — Crawford County Grant Writer Gus Brunetti reported to the county commission that the Kansas Department of Emergency Management (KDEM) approved the county’s request for funding for new tornado sirens. Multiple requests for new tornado sirens from Opolis, Mulberry, Radley, and Arcadia were consolidated into a single grant request. The grant Brunetti applied for is the Hazard Mitigation Grant from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
