CHEROKEE COUNTY, Kan. — A Joplin man was arrested early Sunday morning on several drug-related charges, including possession of cocaine with intent to distribute. Around 3:30 a.m. Sunday, a Cherokee County sheriff's deputy conducted a traffic stop in the rural southeast part of Cherokee County, according to a press release from the sheriff’s office. During the stop, a Narcotic Detection K9 from the Baxter Springs Police Department alerted on the vehicle, according to the release.
