Throughout the week, kids entering seventh through 12th grades who are interested in healthcare had the chance to participate in an academy-style camp hosted by the Inspire Health Foundation, a subsidiary of the Community Health Center of Southeast Kansas. As part of the Inspire Health Academy, on Thursday, the kids toured the Irene Ransom Bradley School of Nursing at Pittsburg State University where they practiced their skills in activities such as compression bandaging. The kids then toured the campus including a tour of the Bryant Student Health Center, where the campers talked about public health and the role of therapists.
