GIRARD, Kan. — The Girard City Council is back to discussing its “stainless steel mile,” a water infrastructure project located on E. 560th Ave. between S. 180th St. and S. 170th St. just southeast of Beulah. On Monday, the council met with Holly Powers of Midwest Engineering Group to discuss the project. “We are here just to give you guys an update on what we are calling the stainless steel mile,” said Powers.
