GIRARD, Kan. — Girard Mayor Mickey Pyle welcomed three members of the Girard High School FBLA chapter to Monday’s regular meeting where he proudly presented a proclamation designating Feb. 9, 2025, to Feb. 15, 2025, as “Future Business Leaders of America Week.” FBLA, a non-profit organization, assists students in preparing for careers in business by connecting business and education, developing leadership skills, providing career development opportunities, transitioning to business, and raising funds for charity. Girard’s chapter has seen great success through the recent years, serving as the home to national champion Sarah Rose and sixth-place national finisher Josie Gronau. As part of the meeting, chapter president Rose, secretary Gronau, and vice president Aydin Sisney, wearing their FBLA attire, addressed the crowd in Girard City Hall.
